The Garden

The large cottage garden extends to almost one quarter of an acre and includes a seating area, extensive lawns, flower borders and even your very own orchard! An ideal space to relax with friends or family and a secure setting to allow the children to play freely.

As a typical cottage garden our aim is to try and have a point of interest all year round and to encourage as much wildlife into the garden as possible. If you are lucky you should see several species of birds, butterflies and small mammals. There are various flower borders, an alpine border, several shrubs and a mini-orchard with apple’s, pear’s and a meddlar. You are very welcome to help yourself to any fruit if your holiday coincides with the fruiting season.

We really believe this garden is what makes our cottage extra special and encourage all our guests to enjoy it as much as possible. We just ask that you keep your children off the trees for their own safety as some of the fruit trees are very old and brittle.
